HELINOR ENERGY
Gas-to-power platform

Connect to power faster, scale with demand.

A modular power platform that brings reliable capacity online in phases, without waiting for full grid access.

The challenge

Data centers are ready before the grid is.

Demand for computing capacity is growing faster than new grid connections can be built. A finished site can wait years for the power it needs.

Every month without power is a month without revenue. Onsite generation closes that gap: it brings capacity to the site when the project needs it, and it can stay as a permanent part of the site’s power supply.

Our answer

Power made on site, from the gas network.

HELINOR turns natural gas into electricity right next to your data center, using fuel cells instead of engines. You draw on existing gas infrastructure and bring power online in steps.

Natural gas Prime power Runs around the clock Backup power Steps in when supply fails Your data center DELIVERED BY HELINOR
  1. Gas in

Natural gas arrives from the utility and is prepared for the fuel cells.

  2. Power made on site

Fuel cells convert the gas to electricity electrochemically, without combustion, around the clock.

  3. Power to your site

The package delivers electricity ready for your site’s network, with backup on standby if you choose it.

The power block

One standard unit, repeated.

Every HELINOR installation is built from the same power block: fuel-cell modules, gas supply and electrical equipment, designed together and delivered as one.

Because the block is standard, it is prepared while your site is under construction, not after. Because it repeats, the tenth block is as predictable as the first.

One package. One partner. One handover. You choose the EPC; we coordinate the rest.

HELINOR delivers the power package from gas treatment to a defined, metered medium-voltage handover. Your site EPC integrates it into the wider facility.

We prepare it

Standardised power blocks are built and tested in parallel with your site works.

We deliver it

Gas supply, fuel cells and electrical equipment arrive as one package, ready to connect.

We support it

Planned maintenance through the life of the plant, and room to add capacity as you grow.

Capacity that grows with your project

2.5 MW. 10 MW. 50 MW. The same block.

Start with the capacity you need today. Add blocks as demand grows, with shared site infrastructure planned from day one.

Why fuel cells

Clean, quiet power your neighbors will not notice.

A fuel cell makes electricity in an electrochemical reaction, not a flame. That one difference removes much of what makes an onsite power plant hard to permit and hard to live next to.

Quiet

Low-noise operation for noise-sensitive sites, without acoustic barriers.

Clean

Low local air emissions and no exhaust-treatment plant, which simplifies permitting.

Efficient

Efficient on-site generation, with useful heat to recover.

Natural-gas generation produces CO₂. Permitting remains project-specific.

Heat recovery

Make more of the energy you buy.

Where site conditions support it, recovered heat can serve useful heating or cooling loads alongside electricity generation.

Electricity

Prime power for your site, around the clock.

Useful heat

Recovered heat for heating, where the site or its neighbours can use it.

Cooling

Heat-driven cooling, integrated where the site supports it.

Heat recovery is assessed for each site.

Add-ons

Build on the power block.

Three options can be added to a HELINOR power block where a project calls for them. Each is assessed for the site and has its own scope.

  1. Carbon capture

Natural-gas generation produces CO₂. Capture equipment can be planned into the site layout, with the CO₂ stored or used where suitable infrastructure exists.

  2. Combined heat and power

Heat from the fuel cells is recovered for heating or cooling, on site or for neighbours, alongside the electricity.

  3. Hydrogen backup

HELINOR hydrogen fuel-cell backup on the same site, built on the same modular approach. In development, target availability 2028.

    Backup power

Add-ons are project-specific options with their own scope and are not part of the standard power package.

From enquiry to power

A clear path, with the first two steps at no cost.

  1. Project definition

Tell us your power need, how you will use it and your target date.

  2. Indicative configuration

We define the block configuration and a budget estimate.

  3. Capacity reservation

Reserve your capacity, aligned with your EPC.

  4. Contract and release

Agree the supply contract and start engineering and equipment orders.

  5. Delivery and commissioning

We deliver and test the package, and support your EPC through handover.

Bring capacity online. Protect time to revenue.

Tell us how much power you need and when. We come back with an indicative configuration and budget estimate, at no cost.
